Please note: Due to staff shortages, whilst we recruit new members of the team, the Dispensary will be closing on Mondays & Fridays at 5pm.
Opening times of other weekdays remain unchanged and are as stated above.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this and hope to return to our full, usual opening hours soon.

Bank Holiday Closures

Both the surgery and our dispensary will be closed on the following Bank Holiday dates:

  • Monday 28th December (Boxing Day - substitute day)

  • Friday 1st January (New Year's Day)

  • Monday 3rd May (Early May Bank Holiday)
  • Monday 31st May (Spring Bank Holiday)
  • Monday 30th August (Summer Bank Holiday)

Important: Lunchtimes and Thursday afternoons

For urgent medical problems during the following times: 

  • 8am to 8:30am (weekdays)
  • 1pm to 2pm (weekdays)
  • 6pm to 6:30pm (weekdays)
  • Thursday afternoons

Important: If you need help when we are closed

NHS 111

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Urgent out of hours matters are dealt with by Health Hero.

You may be asked to attend the Primary Care Centre located at Chippenham Hospital.

Accidents and Injuries

Chippenham Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) is open 7 days a week from 8am - 8pm.

Chippenham MIU is open for walk in patients and for patients who have contacted NHS 111 either by phone or online and have been advised to attend.
